Before and After: Tuscan Style for a Denver Home

Located in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado, this custom home started out as a blank slate. The homeowners wanted to convert the original western feel of the house into a home filled with Tuscan ambiance. The large rooms needed large-scale furniture to fill the space. Designer Shannon Murphy knew the Tuscan style of Michael Amini furniture found at The Showroom @Furniture Row was exactly what was needed to complete the desired design.

Entry Hall Before and After

When visitors enter the home, they’ll become instantly impressed with the entryway. What was once an empty space was transformed into a grandiose vestibule with an elegant chandelier and console tables with mirrors mounted above them that flank both sides of the space. In order to complete the design and give some green elements to the space, two topiaries were added to each side of the front door.

Living Room Before and After

The sizable living room has a grand yet comfortable feel to it. The room is anchored by a custom rug in shades of reds and black that is often found in Tuscan design and the wood paneling in the space contributes to the Italian Old World feel of the design. Overall, the lavish living room is a space for sophistication!

In order to incorporate entertainment possibilities, a custom pool table was added to the space. The large-scale artwork on the walls adds some vibrant color to the space, but also helps the room feel more intimate. Lastly, the bench adds some much needed seating to this part of the room and brings home the element of Tuscan design for the perfect finishing touch.

Master Bedroom Before and After

The master suite in the home is quite sizeable and needed extra-large furniture to fill the space. The king-size bed with its wood and leather headboard creates a majestic focal point as you enter the room. The plush bedding has the appearance of an antique tapestry that would be found in a historic Tuscan villa, while the oversized nightstands placed on each side of the bed bring balance to the bedsides. The crystal lamps on the nightstands carry a touch of elegance to the space and two leather benches placed at the foot of the bed create an additional seating area while bringing supplementary Tuscan elements. The substantial entertainment unit situated opposite the bed allows for the television and its supporting components remain hidden. The artwork adds a touch of color to the room, while the large tree adds a touch of greenery to bring an element of nature to the space. The master bedroom only boasts traditional trends meant for a king.
