St. Jude Dream Home: The Living Room

The interior design of the 2014 St. Jude Dream Home in Colorado Springs is inspired by the beauty of its home state. From earthy hues and rich natural textures, to warm hardwoods and stone elements, the home really does bring the best of Colorado indoors.

We are excited to feature specific spaces of the Dream Home with you here on the Front Door, and to start off, we’re welcoming you into the living room. Check out the gallery below for a close up of the space, and read on for design details!

Living-Room

What we love about this living room is the layered, multi-dimensional feel of the design.  The color palette is centered around green, and is accented with neutrals and brown that combine to give the room depth.

The space is anchored by a green, quatrefoil-inspired area rug, and is arranged to highlight the fireplace as the focal point. The patterns used in the space–from the accent chairs and rug, to the throw pillows and blanket–are cohesive and complementary: They continue the Colorado colors theme, and bring movement to this sumptuous space.

The plush fabric sofa, and the top-grain leather accent chairs bring this a mixed-material style that is both eclectic & elegant. Accessories like the metal urns and ceramic lamps introduce new texture, and add a polished feel, and tie the room together.

This room is inviting and luxurious, while being casual and cozy–and we love it! To recreate this dream living room in your home, be sure to check out the available products, listed here.

The shown coffee table, and reclaimed chest are available in-store through the Lost & Found collection.
